Kittery, ME to Hampton Harbor, NH, and Rye Beach, NH
Day 4 of sightseeing and visiting old stomping grounds, and the second last day of my Ride Across America. When I look back at the miles I have cycled and the number of days I have been on the road, it feels surreal. I feel both happy and sad - happy that tomorrow I will see Yvonne and some of our friends again, and that I will soon be home and meet up with our friends there. But sad because it has been such an amazing adventure that I wish it could continue. I suppose I'll just have to start planning another trip soon 😊
Today's ride was was more important than just sightseeing - there was a strategic goal - to get close enough to my final destination so that I didn't keep people waiting too long for my arrival the next day. Rye Beach was the perfect spot, only 19 miles from Newbury Beach.
Today's Ride
What an exciting feeling, a sense of achievement, a sense of relief, a good dose of pride, joy, happiness and, yes, a little twinge of sadness that the journey is done. But the dream lives on!!! Congratulations Andre. Wonderful ride and terrific experiences. Thank you for sharing
