As much as I like camping, I like campsites with warm showers and amenities even more. So you can imagine how happy I was after the long hot sweaty day in the saddle to arrive in Hope and find an RV campsite with a tent section. Hopefully, I will be able to find more like this one along the way.
Not a good start for today's ride though, as I came out of the campsite I realized the Wahoo computer was acting up. The error code I got indicated a battery issue. I couldn't do anything about it while on the road, so decided to stop at the first place I could find to have breakfast and try to solve the problem.
After about a mile or so, I came across a place (in the middle of nowhere) that had a bar on the one side, and a restaurant on the other. I found a seat in the restaurant (which to my surprise was almost full) and started getting the Wahoo sorted.
I ordered what I thought was going to be a small breakfast. Well, you be the judge of that. Look at the pictures to see what I got for a breakfast order of eggs, tomato, and smoked ham. It was very difficult for the waitress to accept that I REALLY did not want her to pack the ham to take with me.
Fortunately, I managed to get the battery reset. I suspect the intense heat caused the problem. I didn't have enough time to wait for a trickle charge of the Wahoo, so will have to do that overnight.
The Route For Today
That’s one massive piece of ham 😎
