Ashtabula, OH to Ripley, NY
Being a Sunday, the roads were quiet early in the day and only started getting busy around 2 PM.
My ride started in Ohio, took me through a small part of northern Pennsylvania and into New York State. I really enjoyed the scenery along the way. All three states offer the most magnificent views from the bike paths/trails in all directions. I was surprised at all the wine farms along the way. Definitely a good reason to come back to the Lake Erie region for a wine tasting vacation.
While cycling along, I noticed a sign for a campground and decided to call it a day. I was very pleasantly surprised by the campground. The tent sites are all on a grassy area, thick enough to forgo a sleeping pad. Best of all though, were the views from the campground across the lake, particularly the sunset, which was breathtaking.
