Cleveland, OH to Ashtabula, OH
I had hamburger, fries, and a root beer float for dinner last night at Jack on Ontario St in Cleveland. It is the best I've had on this trip so far.
Today's ride was great, with the morning starting off in the upper 50’s, and steadily getting warmer during the day. Fall is not here yet, but it is reminding us it is on it's way.
I was concerned about getting out of the city with all the construction going on there. But I needn’t have worried - the Apple app got me out of there with no problem. I landed up on the Greenway Corridor, a very nice trail on the foreshore which turned into the Lakeshore Boulevard. The views are absolutely magnificent.
I was having problems with one of the front brakes. I diagnosed it as a cable problem, but could not do anything about it. As I came through one of the numerous towns along the way (Chagrin Harbor), I saw a bike shop (Red's Bicycle Sales & Repairs), and stopped there. The owner replaced the cable with a new one. Eureka, problem solved. We dissected the old cable, and saw there were broken strands catching the sides of the sleeve every time the brake was released.
