Day 73 - Ohio to Erie Trail - August 23rd

Updated: Oct 2, 2022

Waynesville, OH to Columbus, OH

It was a very foggy morning, so I waited until the fog started lifting. I took the opportunity to see whether I could get a gluten free breakfast from the coffee/food truck. As it was a drive through, I stood in line between the cars. I was in luck, the lady said that they didn't always have gluten free options, but had just received a delivery of muffins from the GF supplier. Coffee and muffins, the breakfast of champions 😊.

When I finally got going, and onto the Little Miami River Trail, I met up with a couple, Jim and Jean. They were on their way to Xenia for a few days break. Discussing their route got me thinking. I wasn't totally enamored with the DC route, and I really like the Ohio to Erie Trail (Little Miami Trail is part of it), so why not change my route and head North. I was still pondering when my GPS told me to get off the trail and onto a service road. It was decision time! I pulled off the road into the shade, and phoned Yvonne to discuss the change with her. I happily turned around, went back to the Little Miami River trail, and am heading North to Buffalo via Cleveland.

Breakfast From The Coffee Hub Truck

The food truck in the parking lot of the motel opens at 6am. I was lucky to get gluten free muffins and coffee.
