West College Corner, IN to Waynesville, OH
The weather was much better; no rain and cool enough for a light windbreaker.
I had a good gluten free breakfast prepared by Jay, the host at 'The Doctor's Inn', and got ready to go. As I started moving the bike out of their garage, Jay came over and asked whether I would like to take the rest of the gluten free muffins with me. Without hesitation, I replied with a 'yes please'. Getting gluten free food on the road has been a challenge, and I also had not seen any muffins since leaving home. Jay wrapped them carefully for me, and I made sure they were in a safe and easily accessible place.
THANK YOU AGAIN JAY!!!
I have had several challenges with dogs over the last few days, although fortunately nothing too serious. I have found that if I stop pedaling and talk to them, they calm down and either turn around and go back home, or start wagging their tails and smelling the bike, the packs, and me. The trend continued this morning. Fortunately this dog seemed friendly, with his tail wagging. It was as if he came to say hello.
The Miami trail is great and well maintained. I cycled part of this trail a few years back, joining it further north. I was happy to be riding another section of it.
