The first really big mountain ride in like forever. The pic I posted on day 5 was not a joke when they stated 'The Alps Of America'.
Had rain, snow, sleet, and sunshine on this one.
People so far has been absolutely great and friendly. On one of steeper grades I stopped to give my legs a break, when I saw a car passing west, turning around. turns out it is a couple that wanted to warn me about a bear on the road a few miles ahead. Chris, the young man, was prepared to do anything possible to help me get past that point.
Thank you again for people like Chris and his wife.
After thinking about it, I told him not to worry, as I am moving so slowly up the mountain, the bear would be gone by the time I got there.
As an aside, I will post a blog whenever possible. It does get pretty difficult to get workable wi-fi or cellular signal.
Thanks to the folks at 'The Inn At Mazama' for allowing me to use their office computer.
Thank you for sharing these amazing pictures - we are thinking of you!

Keep attracting those wonderful people! Have fun!
