Pollock to Gettysburg (Where The Battle Wasn't)
The town seemed to be in a determined reconstruction mode with roads being improved and old structures being renovated. The lady at the motel where I stayed explained that the local government is trying to attract new business and people to the area; hence all the work. Perhaps the locals feel inferior given that their town has the same name, but none of the fame of "the" Gettysburg. She told me to say: "Gettysburg where the battle wasn't". That brought a chuckle out of me. It appears to be a local 'thing'.
