Day 37 - RAA Sect 5 - July 18th

Hazen to Bizmarck

Had a load of fun today racing against a train. Was a bit unfair though, as it was one of those nearly mile long trains with a coal cargo. Two engines up front, one in the middle, and two at the back. I think it was also speed restricted to ~10 mph, as the driver applied brakes even on the slightest downhill.

Was fun though, and gave me a good workout 😊 🥵

I found a very nice campsite in Bizmarck for the night where I met a fellow cyclist, Rick, who is a local, and likes getting out for overnight/weekend camping like this.

Certainly good advise

The train I was "racing" against - Here is a video clip

So, what road am I on, and what direction am I going in?

A very rapidly flowing Missouri River

An extension of the view after the bend in the river

A more "modern" camp site with power to charge all your stuff. Rick's tent is in the background
