Glendive MT to Medora ND
Today I say goodbye to Montana, and hello to North Dakota. Hopefully there will be more shade along the routes in ND than there has been so far in MT.
Because of the continued high heat warning, I headed out early again.
There is wonderful 24hr diner in Glendive which worked well for me (posted pic on Day 32).
No wind today, so that helped a great deal. I had time to stop a few times to chat with folks. Most interesting is an older lady (yes, older than me) working at the rest stop and information center on the 94 heading to Dickinson. She had such wonderful stories about the area, the history, particularly the earlier life of sheep herder families. She mentioned that the locals love old cars, and with good reason she said: "Old cars are easier to fix, and they last longer!"
I have to admit that I fell in love with Medora the second I rode into town. It is a quaint village that reminds me of the villages along the coastline in New England.

As the sign indicates, THIS IS CATTLE COUNTRY. Wibaux is a county in Montana.
