Not the first 70 miler I've done, but somehow it bothered me a bit. Once I got going though, it was all business and getting my butt into gear.
I love looking at the different landscapes, and today was no exception. Along the way, I came across what used to be small villages and/or communities.
When I look at the ruins I think of the dreams and hopes of the folk when they first got there, and today all that is left are the ruins. Enough of that!
When I started planning this trip, I came across references to a Prada store somewhere along this section of the route. As I planned and researched further I learned that it is a project by an artist, and it has become a MUST stop for all cyclists, riding this section.
It certainly is fun. You are pedaling along, and all of a sudden this "store" just appears.
With about 20 miles to go, something in the distance caught my eye, but I couldn't make out what it was, I could just see it was moving. As I got closer, I realized it was an airship. For the next mile or so I kept looking to see if there was a way I could get even closer, but alas, there was a locked gate with big NO ENTRY signs. Oh well, at least I got some pics.
