Day 20 - RAA Sect 3 - July 1st

Definitely not as exciting as yesterday, but still a fantastic day.

Most of the morning was spent in the mountains with all their beauty and glory, riding along RT2 following the Continental Divide.

The quick transition in landscape from the mountains to rolling hills took me by surprise. It certainly has it's own magic and charm. I appreciate the undulations - certainly giving the old legs a bit of a break.

Made my first 1000 miles with this ride.

Don't Drive Lit, You're Not A Firework

Not to be confused with Isaac Newton. Very interesting man though.

Note the different lengths of the post poles. That is to represent the steep gradient of the rail track coming up the Divide

Old caboose converted to accommodation. Quite a few of them around Essex.

A bit of history

Interesting waterfall in the Flathead National Forest

Here is a short clip on it.

One of the signs I like to see on the road - I would love to cycle the continental divide from Canada to Mexico.

From the mountains to the windy flat lands - the clip gives you an idea of the wind
